Colour Project (Group Project) - Animation

A 4-week long Project, myself and my two classmates. The theme of this project, we were given 3 colours, and each colour had to represent, the characters, the environment and the obstacle. I took the initiative of doing the 1st drafts of storyboards and colour scripts. In addition to that I went on to create the concept art of the spaceship and give my idea as well of how the pilot would look like, before passing it on to one of my teammates to do the final version.

The Final animatic, I took the shots from the storyboards and placed them 1 by 1 in the timeline in Premiere to create the animatic.

The parts on the final animation I worked on were from 0:08 to 0:20(Animation), the background in that scene I painted on top of the 3D render created by my teammate. The 2nd scene I animated and designed the background for was from 0:25s to 0:35s.
Although due to the time constraints I asked my Classmate to help me out. As such from 0:25s - to 0:28s, they did the shadows on the Pilot’s palm. From 0:30s to 0:35s they also did the shadow on the pilot as well as coloured in the cables. The vines/tentacles in the back from 0:30s to 0:35s, I took it from my classmates 0:35s to 0:36s animation copied and pasted it in the background so we could be more efficient with our time.
